Holiday Themed Zenni Optical Frames are Coming to Town!

Have you checked out all the fantastic eyewear Zenni Optical has in stock? Many of these frames come in your favorite festive holiday colors! I never gave much thought to having eyeglasses that were holiday themed, mostly because of their high cost, until I found Zenni Optical. While I was browsing eyeglasses over at Zenni Optical I found these:
Pretty whimsical wouldn't you say?  And just look at the price!  I'd say these show off my holiday spirit because I look best in green and well, coming from the Philippines I've never seen snow or been able to build a snowman lol.  Being that I don't have work right now I don't have alot of money to spend on eyeglasses but that's ok because with Zenni Optical you're getting such a good price that you'll have money left over to buy gifts for other people in your life.  Personally I would take the money I saved and buy my husband a vintage tie.  What you spend your savings on?  Go on over to the Zenni Optical website and browse their listings, I'm sure you will find a pair of eyeglasses that fits your personality and best yet, they won't break the bank.

My First Christmas in USA.

We just had a simple dinner for Christmas, My Father in law cook pork roast and boiled potatoes. We have fun though, having our conversation, and then my step mother in law came with her Christmas gifts for us and with a lot of cookies for us too. We didn't have a chance to attend the Christmas Eve mass, but we did go  in the morning to hear a mass in Immaculate Conception Church in downtown Jacksonville, I was happy that my father in law decided to go with us, he is not a church goer but that time he just came with us to take picture of the old buildings over there and the church and not to hear the mass. But It's okay I think he did enjoy it because he told us that his gonna drive us again next sunday which is the new year's eve mass. The mass that we attended with my husband is a Tridentine mass or a Latin mass, the church was so beautiful with the five Christmas tree and Manger with it, its definitely a sacred mass. After the mass we go home and open our gifts, and we greet each other a Merry Christmas.
My first christmas gift.

 First Christmas Card.

What I really miss this Christmas is I think a lot, In the Philippines I used to get annoyed by the carolers, now I miss them heheh. Of course there's no carolers overhere. But they do decorate also. I miss the smiles of the people, I think there just so busy  that they forgot to smile, I miss the simbang gabi ( midnight mass), but thanks for the technology these days, I can still watch online thru live streaming. It was my first time to miss the midnight mass. And of course the food, its different overhere, Christmas is not a big thing for them, but to us Filipino, even if we just have enough money to celebrate, we still find a way to really make the Christmas a special occasion, I mean we cook a lot of variety food and desserts. I miss my family also. But I'm still thankful to God that I'm here in the US celebrating it with my husband.
Our gifts from my sister in law.

My Christmas Gift from my Mother in law.

Cookies and sweets stuff from mum in law.

This was my favorite a mini cake with cream cheese and apricot.

In the other hand what I like overhere is they like to give gifts, See in the Philippines I'm the one who give gifts to all my family and relatives, but you don't get in return well not that I'm expecting in return also, but it feels good to received a gift also. So what I got this Christmas is okay, My husband was being practical he bought me a 1 year domain, but I feel bad I didn't give him anything, well he understand I don't have a work yet.
My sister in law got me a girly stuff, and I was not expecting it also, but I'm very touched she said that I'm part of their family.  My mother in law give me a very beautiful sweater, and my friend from Texas gave me Christmas Card, a Ornaments from Texas and A nice Scarf. I feel blessed.
So what about you guys, what did Santa give you? See yah all!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas is one of the most wonderful days for praying,
loving, smiling, caring and relaxing. Take this opportunity and
thank god from this wonderful life. Have a happy and merry
Christmas.

Whatever else be lost among the years, Let us keep Christmas still a shining thing; Whatever doubts assail us, or what fears, Let us hold close one day, remembering, Its poignant meaning for the hearts of men. Lets us get back our childlike faith again. I hope my fellow kababayan  who got affected by the tropical storm washi in the Philippines, will not give up and can still say the word Merry Christmas.
I wish you all A Happy and Merry Christmas!!! From Everyday Fish and Vintage Recipe Blog

For all the Victims of Bagyong Sendong (Tropical Storm Washi)

The Coventry Carol is a legitimate Christmas Carol dated 16th centruy England. It is also the saddest Christmas carol, that speaks of the massacre of children by King Herod.

I know we're all busy preparing for Christmas but let's not forget that ultimately, it's all about giving, sharing, and helping others - especially those who need our help.

A few days ago, a flash flood took the people of Cagayan De Oro City, Iligan, and Dumaguete in the Philippines by surprise. It came like a thief in the night while most people were sound asleep. People who escaped were only able to save the clothes on their back. Some people lost their lives and won't be able to celebrate Christmas like you and me. :(

Some of our BC Blogger friends, Grace, and Karen were from those areas and I'm very happy to report that they are alive and well. Unfortunately, like most of the people from their area they lost their belongings to the flood. I hope we can all drop them some message of comfort in their blogs.

I did my research on how we can all help. I found out that the best way we can donate is through Philippine Red Cross. You can donate as little as P5 and as effortless as getting your cellphone and typing some letters. So if you can spare a few pesos please grab your phone right away and donate. Don't do it later lest you forget. Do it now.

For Globe subscribers:
via SMS, c/o Red Cross – text RED and send to 2899 – valid donation amounts are P5, 25, 50, 100, 300, 500 and 1000 (For ex, RED 10). Transaction is free.
via GCASH, text DONATE and send to 2882

For Smart subscribers:
via SMS, c/o Red Cross – text RED and send to 4143 – valid donation amounts are P10, 25, 50, 100, 300, 500, 1000 (For ex, RED 10).

You can also donate via Paypal or Credit card here: http://www.redcross.org.ph/donatenow

I am also appealing to you to make a blog post about this tragedy and encourage people to donate. Let's not turn a blind eye because we can all help in our own little way. Other people are not aware of the gravity of their situation. I understand because Christmas is coming and everyone is busy. But if we can just inform and reach out to as many people as possible maybe we can make a difference.
